How about having a scoop in the front of the hood. Not one that sticks up higher, but the piece forward would dip down. Kinda like a reverse of the vent you have. Then fashion a very subtle and smooth heat exhaust cowl. Have the raised part slight like no more than in inch to scale. If I were to design a hood thats what I would do to scoop cold air to cool the engine and vent it out of a cowl. I would love to see a rendering of that in body color!
